Printer not visible?
Go through these checks one by one. The first three solve most problems.
- Same Wi-Fi networkThe iPhone and the printer must be on the same network. Compare the network name on both. Some routers have separate 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz networks: make sure both devices use the same one.
- The printer supports AirPrintLook for AirPrint in the printer manual or specifications. Paperlark works through the iOS printing service, so printers without AirPrint support cannot be used.
- Local Network permissionSettings, Privacy & Security, Local Network: turn on Paperlark. Without it iOS hides printers from the app.
- Restart the printer and the routerTurn the printer off and on, wait a minute until it reconnects to Wi-Fi, then open the Printer screen in Paperlark again.
- Guest or isolated networksGuest networks and some office or hotel networks block devices from seeing each other. Use the home network the printer is connected to.
- Turn off VPNA VPN or a content filter can hide devices on your Wi-Fi. Turn it off while you print.
- Add it by IP addressIf the printer does not appear in the list, open the Printer screen in Paperlark and add it by its IP address. You can find the address in the printer's network settings or on its configuration page.
Printers that only work over USB or Bluetooth, or that need their own driver or app, do not support this kind of printing.
